1What is the capacity of Amar Hall?
Our Function Hall can hold up to 120 standing guests, this number reduces if seating is required to 80 – 100 guests.
2Do you provide table and chairs?
Yes, six-foot long trestle tables and seating will be provided however we do not provide table/chair covers.
3Do you provide Catering/Decorations/Dj?
No. At Amar Hall we allow our customers to bring in their own catering and decorations/Dj for most events throughout the year
4Is parking available?
Parking is recommended on Overy Street car parks or on Darenth Road pay and display. Please do not park on mount pleasant road as it is permit holders only. CLICK HERE PRINTABLE CAR PARK MAP
5Are there Transport links nearby?
Being located on East Hill makes Amar hall the perfect venue as it has numerous travel options including several bus routes 1 minute away, Dartford Station only a 5-minute walk away, Taxi 5-minute walk away in Dartford Town and the hall itself being surrounded by car parks!
6Do you have a kitchen?
Yes, if you wish to provide food at your event, a kitchen space is available (fridge, sink and microwave only).
7What time does the bar open for evening parties?
Bar opens at 7pm Friday and Saturday evenings, closes at 11.30pm.
8Are there any event type restrictions?
Booking may not be made by or in the name of any persons less than 21 years of age.Any 16th and 18thbirthday parties celebrated at Amar Hall shall be managed by the parents or responsible adults throughout the whole evening.
9Is there Door Security?
Door security is available, it is compulsory for 18th and 21st birthday parties. Other events can request door security at an additional charge.
10Can we bring in our own drinks?
With prior consent from the management, if the hall is hired WITHOUT THE BAR, yes you can bring in your own drinks.
If the hall is hired WITH THE BAR, No Alcohol/soft beverages/waterare allowed on the premises that have been purchased outside the licensed premises known as Amar Hall. If the hirer or its guests are seen NOT to be complying with these regulations the hirer stands to lose their deposit and possibly cancel the event booking. If any person is seen to be entering an off License and buying alcohol, they may not be allowed back onto the premises.
11Can you request for a specific drink for the bar service?
Yes you can, with enough notice to avoid any disappointments.
12Can you put a tab behind the bar?
Yes, this can be set up first thing as the bar opens with a member of bar staff.
13Are there any time restrictions?
The end of the evening hire period, which will be 0000hrs unless previously stated. We ask that music stops at 11.30pm.
14Can we put up our own decorations?
Yes, decorations can only be stuck on the doors and windows. NO DECORATIONS TO BE STUCK ON THE WALLS
15What is your cancellation policy?
Cancellation by the hirer within 56 days of the date due shall incur the forfeiture of the total hire charge.
16Can we bring in a bubble/snow/smoke machines?
Unfortunately, for our smoke alarm, health and safety reasons, they are not to be brought into the premises.
17Are there cleaning products available for hirers?
We would provide brooms, dustpans and mops to clean the hall and bins to dispose of your rubbish however hirers need to bring their own rubbish bags for rubbish and a tea towel.
18Do you allow animals in the premises?
Animals shall not be introduced into the hired premises except guide dogs (written consent would be needed).
19What are Amar Hall Dimensions?
